Audi RS4 MAF Custom Housing & Install
Part of the more general M54B30TS3 Tuning project, the objective here is to install the Audi RS4 MAF to the place of the OEM Siemens B30 MAF, to allow correct air measurements given the increased air flow because of the supercharger. The relevant ECU MAF Map was scaled accordingly by Robin, the owner/admin of the well-known ms4x.net site. For more tuning related details head over to ms4x.net.
Due to the usage of the Dinan (or Stock) airbox and the ESS intake elbow for the throttle body, there is very limited space to install the MAF. The stock one, fits fine, however the much taller RS4 does not. So we had to improvise and make a new housing for the MAF, to the dimensions of the stock (diameter is the same). The housing was made from a single aluminum billet piece, machined to exact specs and we used the (removable) screen of the B30 MAF.
