The missing flex hose to connect idle valve with manifold

90 Degree angle & Very short hose = difficult!

The idle valve has to come out first else the hose will not bend!

Back in place. Finished working on the manifold connections.

Preparing the wiring harness. Removed the plastic BMW distribution box and taped all connections. Do follow ESS instructions to cut the rubber hose at least 10mm to free some wires because you will face big problems with the lengths afterwards.

Apply Loctite silicone gasket on manifold

And on gasket itself

If you are strong enough, you can put the manifold in place with hands, if not, use a lifting device.

Torque all 9 nuts to secure it on engine head

Start connecting the plugs;

Throttle body, ICV, oil pressure, etc

Now getting ready to install the belt

Installed ATF reservoir, bracket, and upper radiator hose

Installed injectors, fuel rail, injector connections, O2 sensors plugs and VANOS plug

Few things left to connect; Hoses, Airbox, MAF

Did the connections for intercooler pump. Tap to Red/White wire

Installed intercooler hoses now.

Next: Filling the system with the fluids, start engine to test for leaks, replace all covers!
